All everyday essentials are available at Santa Catarina. Apart from a major supermercados you’ll find several small minimercados, various cafés, restaurants, a bank with cash dispenser, a chemist’s shop, a stationery shop and a florist shop. Every 4^th Sunday of each month there is a gipsy market where simply everything is offered.

At the verge of the town in the direction of Sao Bras de Alportel there is a 'Oz' filling station with daily opening hours. Usual car types are normally tanked up with unleaded petrol SEM CHUMBO 95 octane.

On the road from the roundabout direction Moncarapacho is an oil mill 'Lagar de Azeite' founded in 1913 where you can buy self-pressed olive oil: https://albertosprocha.pt

On the road from the roundabout direction Tavira there is an agricultural cooperative
'Cooperativa Agricola'. Here you can buy olive oil as well, but still countless other regional products, amongst others vegetables, fruit, wine, spirits (e.g. liquor of the strawberry tree / medronho or carob tree / alfarroba), bread, meat, honey:
