The cottage is situated in the small village of Varzeas, about 1.2 km from Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo. The airport is at a distance of 30 km.

Coming from Faro it is best to take the motorway towards Tavira/Espanha, exit Moncarapacho/Olhoa/Sta. Catarina. Turn left towards Santa Catarina. After 5 km you arrive at a roundabout at the approach of the town. There you turn left towards Sao Bras de Alportel. You pass an 'Oz' (formerly Avia) gas station (about 300 m) and get to a small traffic island. Immediately behind it turn left to Varzeas (300 m).  Follow the sandy road, pass a well at a right-angled bend, cross a small bridge, pass a decaying stone wall till after 300 m you arrive at a turn-off. Turn to the right and after about 200 m the cottage will be on the left.
